The line-up of the 16th edition of the French Film Festival includes ten pre-premieres, in particular Abdellatif Kechiche’s drama Blue Is the Warmest Color (La vie d’Adèle), winner of the Palme d’Or at this year’s Cannes Festival. The Festival will offer an overview of the work of this prominent French director with a dedicated section, Tribute to Abdellatif Kechiche, presenting his five films. The competition section of the Festival, Czech Critics’ Choice, offers a selection of nine films screened in Prague and competing for the audience award. A special screening of Philippe de Broca’s That Man from Rio (L’Homme de Rio) will commemorate Jean-Paul Belmondo’s jubilee; and the Festival will not fail to feature the popular Short Film Evening.
