Public Transport

One of the best ways to learn about the city you are living in, especially Prague, is to venture out onto the public transportation system.

Prague's public transport system is often preferred to private cars and taxis due to its efficient and reliable nature. Many expatriates have become public transport converts as they move around the city with confidence.

The most popular forms are the tram and metro. The metro runs until midnight with only 2-3 min breaks at peak time and lessening to 4-10 off peak. The trams are equally reliable and also run until 12pm and then night trams take their place. You will not miss the public transport, it runs 24 hours, every day along the year!

TIP: use Lítačka card to travel all around Prague by metro, bus and tram.
